The Influence of Socio-Economic Conditions, Family Environment, and Learning Motivation on the Aspirations of High School Students to Continue Their Education in Boleng District, West Manggarai Regency

This study aims to analyze the influence of socioeconomic conditions, family environment, and learning motivation on the aspirations to continue their education among high school students in Boleng District, West Manggarai Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory design and involved 76 respondents selected from high school/vocational high school students in the 2026/2027 academic year. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation tests, and reliability tests. The results indicate that socioeconomic conditions, family environment, and learning motivation have a positive and significant relationship with students' aspirations to continue their education. Among these three variables, family environment has the strongest relationship in increasing educational aspirations. The research findings indicate that conducive family support, adequate socioeconomic conditions, and high learning motivation are important factors in encouraging students to continue their education to a higher level. These results have implications for families, schools, and local governments in improving the quality of human resources by strengthening students' educational aspirations.
